Are you interested in an Encore Career but aren’t sure how to start? Denise Beeson is offering a this new class Thursday, Jan. 8, 1 p.m.
Beeson will discuss the following: what exactly is an “Encore Career”, steps to consider before you launch, benefits of an encore career and inspiring examples.
This class will be a discussion of the process in preparation to include research, networking, financial aspects as well as creating a business plan. Beeson will also discuss benefits including personal fulfillment, continued learning and potential financial reward. She will review inspiring examples of success stories.
Beeson is a professor at Santa Rosa Junior College, in Santa Rosa, California. She has a BA from Whittier College and a master’s degree from San Francisco State. She has taught in the Business Department for over 20 years. Her classes being geared towards assisting the small business owner achieve success. She was also a counselor for the State of California in the Small Business Development Center. Her personal “Encore Career” is teaching genealogy classes online and in person at various Arizona and California venues.
