A Look Back and A Look Ahead
Susan Roth, Director of Trips

I love being able to talk about LifeLong Learning’s very successful Trips seasons! This season had wonderful experiences, fun times, the opportunity to meet many first time travelers and renew acquaintances with previous travel companions. In spite of several venues limiting capacity or not accommodating our request we ran 12 trips and had 548 attendees.

We started our season on October 25 with a trip to the SIKH Temple and the Jewish Historical Society. We finished the season on March 19 with a trip to ASU to view their Moon and Mars exhibits.

What’s ahead for the 2024-2025 Season?

We are bringing back some trips that have been requested to repeat, had waiting lists and great reviews while also adding new opportunities.

Not going to share too much right now as I want to keep the sense of anticipation so here are a couple trips already confirmed for October:

Watch the website for more trip postings in August.

Trips include lunch unless noted otherwise, admission fees, all gratuities, and 2 knowledgeable, fun LLL escorts as well as a comfortable ride on a climate-controlled motor coach.

Detailed information about each new trip offered will be listed on the website, and also watch for the LLL brochures. We will continue offering consistent communication throughout the season via the LLL website, the PC Post, and the LLL LifeLine e-newsletter.

LLL Trips seasons could not happen without the hard work of an amazing Trips Team. I would like to recognize these volunteers who give of their time to research, vette, plan, organize, and escort the trips. Team members are: Cindy Hix, Roger Crystal, Kathy Nemeth, Billie Plasker, Bev Drury, CJ Newman, Barbara Younker, Bill Fenster, Nan Lind and Sheryl Archer.

This upcoming season is going to be one of our best! We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new participants. See you on the bus!

LifeLong Learning's trip team offered a selection of new and favorite trips for the 2023/2024 season. Up to two registrations can be purchased in one transaction per LLL user account. Trips for 2023-2024 included:

LLL works diligently on your behalf to arrange enjoyable trips at reasonable costs. Trip costs on average have increased since last season. Bus companies attribute the higher costs to maintenance, fuel and labor costs. Restaurant costs are higher due to increased food and labor costs.

One thing has not changed: the LLL trip team's enthusiasm to provide you with a memorable trip experience with fellow 'Creekers. Sit back, relax, enjoy a LLL day trip!
